"Not much of a sacrifice"

Another family is eating rice and beans for dinner tonight... a big thank you to the Borlands for Giving Up a regular dinner so they can Give towards the education of children in Congo.

Here is what Carolyn had to say about their decision to join Giving Up To Give.

"God has blessed us with so much. Even though we have retired and don't make as much as we did when we were both working, I know we can give up meals for a day and eat rice and beans. If our donation helps make someone's life better it is really not much of a sacrifice."

This embodies what Giving Up To Give is all about. It is not about having a lot, or giving out of our excess. It is about finding ways in our everyday life where we can Give Up something as simple as a regular dinner--and discovering that our small act of Giving Up isn't really much of a sacrifice because it improves the life of someone else.
